Hands-On Dental Implant Courses for Dentists

Implant Courses for General Dentists and Specialists – Hands-On Implant Training & Advanced Surgery Courses

Welcome to TCP Implant Marathon, the world’s premier hands-on implant course for dental professionals seeking to elevate their implantology skills.

As the longest-running program of its kind, our intensive five-day implant courses have been educating dentists since 2003, combining immersive surgical training with academic rigor.

We provide general dentists and specialists with a unique opportunity to gain real surgical experience in a supervised, supportive environment – ensuring you leave confident in placing implants and performing advanced procedures in your own practice.

Why Choose TCP Implant Marathon?

With over two decades of experience, TCP Implant Marathon stands out as a leader in dental implant education. Here’s what sets our implant courses apart from the rest:

Proven Track Record:

Backed by 22 years of dental continuing education experience, we have organized over 200 live implant training sessions and trained more than 3,800 dentists worldwide. Our alumni have collectively placed over 130,000 implants, reflecting the real-world impact of our program. No other implant course offers this level of history, success, and global reach.

Entirely Hands-On Training:

Unlike typical seminars that are heavy on lectures, our program guarantees substantial hands-on experience. You will perform actual implant surgeries on real patient cases under expert supervision – not plastic models or simulations. Every participant is assured of placing a set number of implants during the course, so you leave with a tangible record of procedures completed. Learning by doing isn’t just a motto – it’s the core of our teaching philosophy and the key to building your surgical confidence.

Expert Faculty & Mentorship:

Learn directly from internationally recognized implantologists and oral surgeons with decades of experience. Our instructors work side-by-side with you, offering one-on-one mentorship throughout the implant course. The faculty-to-participant ratio is kept low (often 1 instructor per 2 participants) to ensure you receive personalized guidance and immediate feedback on every case. This mentorship model accelerates your learning curve in implant dentistry.

Advanced Surgical Techniques:

Beyond basic implant placement, our curriculum covers advanced procedures like sinus lifts, ridge splitting, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting, PRP/PRF for healing, and more. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced practitioner, you’ll expand your skill set with the latest techniques in implant dentistry. Our advanced implant courses (Level 2 and 3) focus on complex cases – such as full-arch restorations and block grafting – so you can tackle challenging scenarios with confidence.

State-of-the-Art Facilities:

Training takes place in modern clinical environments equipped with the latest dental technology. Each operatory simulates a real-world treatment setting, allowing you to familiarize yourself with implant equipment and digital planning tools in a safe, controlled manner. You’ll gain experience with technologies like CBCT imaging for 3D treatment planning, piezosurgery units for atraumatic bone modification, and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) preparation for enhanced healing. This ensures you’re learning on the same cutting-edge equipment used in top implant practices.

Global Course Locations:

Our implant courses are offered in multiple international locations throughout the year – from vibrant cities in Latin America to dynamic hubs in Asia. This global presence means you can choose a training session that fits your schedule and travel preferences. Each location also provides exposure to diverse patient cases and clinical environments, further enriching your learning experience. The first TCP Implant Marathon launched in Cuba in 2003, and today we host sessions in places like Brazil, Colombia, Cambodia, and more – reflecting our worldwide mission to expand implant education.

Earn 60 CE Credits:

TCP Implant Marathon is an AGD PACE-approved program, granting 60 CE hours upon completion of the course. You’ll earn a recognized continuing education certificate to bolster your professional credentials while mastering practical skills. It’s the perfect combination of advancing your education and fulfilling licensure requirements for dental continuing education.

Community & Ongoing Support:

When you attend a TCP Implant Marathon, you become part of a global alumni network. After completing your implant course, you’ll have access to our community forum, case-sharing groups, and periodic refresher workshops to continue your growth. Many of our graduates stay connected with mentors and peers, sharing cases and advice long after the course ends. This supportive community helps you keep building confidence as you integrate implant dentistry into your practice.

Who Should Attend?

Our program is designed to benefit dentists of all skill levels. Whether you are a recent dental school graduate with minimal surgical experience or a seasoned practitioner looking to expand into implants, the TCP Implant Marathon will meet you where you are and take you further.

  • Newer Dentists: If you’ve never placed an implant before, don’t worry. Level 1 of our implant course assumes only basic dental anatomy and theory knowledge – no prior implant experience is required. We’ll start with fundamentals and quickly ramp up your skills through guided surgery. (We even offer a special new graduate discount – ask us about eligibility!)

  • General Practitioners: If you’re a GP who has done a few implants or taken some lectures but lack confidence to do implants regularly, this course will provide the hands-on experience you need. You’ll refine your technique, learn to avoid common mistakes, and develop a workflow for implant cases from consultation to follow-up.

  • Experienced Implant Dentists: Already placing implants? Our advanced course levels (Level 2 and 3) are perfect for expanding into more complex procedures. Past attendees include dentists with implant experience who want to master sinus lifts, block grafts, or manage complications. We will challenge and refine your skills so you can tackle advanced implantology cases with greater proficiency.

  • Specialists & Surgeons: Oral surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, and other specialists have attended to broaden their horizons or get a refresher in specific techniques. The collaborative environment allows even experienced doctors to pick up new tips and see different approaches to implant surgery.

By tailoring our implant courses to multiple skill levels, TCP Implant Marathon ensures that each participant is both supported and challenged appropriately. You’ll be matched with peers of similar experience in your training group, and our instructors will adapt guidance to your background. This way, everyone from beginner to expert leaves with new knowledge and improved surgical capabilities.

What to Expect in Our 5-Day Implant Course

Our flagship offering is a 5-day intensive implant course that immerses you in real surgical practice. Here’s a preview of what your week will look like:

  • Personal Placement of 30 Implants: Each participant places at least 30 dental implants as the primary surgeon over the course of five days. These cases range from single-tooth replacements to multiple implants for overdentures and even full-arch restorations. You will also assist your colleague (each surgical team is typically two doctors per instructor) in their implant cases, effectively doubling the number of procedures you are exposed to.

  • Real Surgical Cases Each Day: From Day 1 through Day 5, you’ll be in the clinic performing surgeries on actual patients (never on models). Cases may include extractions with immediate implant placement, anterior and posterior implant sites, and basic bone augmentation when needed. All procedures are performed under direct supervision of our expert instructors, ensuring patient safety while you gain invaluable experience. You’ll encounter a variety of clinical scenarios, from routine to moderately complex, preparing you for practice.

  • Daily Debrief & Case Reviews: After each clinical day, the group reconvenes for debriefing sessions. Together with faculty, you’ll review the day’s cases, discuss any challenges or complications, and highlight key learning points. These interactive reviews solidify your understanding and allow you to learn from every case performed during the week. We also encourage questions and group discussion, so you benefit from the collective experience of all participants and instructors.

  • Skill Development & Confidence: By the end of the week, you will have gained more hands-on implant surgery experience than many clinicians receive in several years of typical practice. This intensive exposure rapidly builds your surgical confidence. Alumni often report that after the course, they feel fully equipped to start placing implants in their own offices immediately. Our goal is not just to teach techniques, but to ensure you finish the course feeling empowered to implement what you’ve learned.

  • Post-Course Support: Learning doesn’t end on the last day. We provide guidance on postoperative case management and are available for follow-up questions as you begin treating your own patients. Every graduate of our implant courses is invited to join our exclusive online community where you can consult with instructors and fellow alumni about cases, continuing education opportunities, and advanced training options as you progress in implantology.
